Using the forum

Posting threads, replying, voting, and what gets pinned.

community Β· Updated Jul 21, 2026

The forum is for discussion β€” recommendations, questions, news in your area, anything off-topic enough that it doesn't fit on a business listing.

Starting a thread

Sign in, click Forum in the nav, then New thread. Pick a category, write a clear title (the title is what people see in the index), and a body. Bodies aren't required but they help.

Replying

Replies need to be at least 10 characters so they're meaningful. Quote-only replies aren't useful; either add something or just upvote.

Voting

Up-vote a thread or reply if it's useful or accurate. Down-vote sparingly β€” only when the post is wrong, off-topic, or a spam attempt. Your votes are private; only the score is public.

Pinning

Moderators pin threads that announce something timebound (closures, events, weather). Pinned threads sit at the top until they're unpinned.

Etiquette

  • One topic per thread.
  • If a question's been asked recently, link to the older thread instead of starting a new one.
  • If you're advertising, post in the Classifieds, not the Forum.
