How leaderboard points work
Most things you do on the site earn reputation points. The leaderboard ranks contributors by lifetime points and recent activity.

The leaderboard at /leaderboard ranks community members by reputation. Reputation is built one small action at a time — there's no shortcut.
What earns points
Defaults below; admins can adjust the exact values at any time, so what you see in the leaderboard may not match these numbers exactly.
- +15 Review published
- +20 Forum answer accepted
- +5 Forum post created
- +5 Help offered on a community need
- +4 Community need posted, poll created
- +3 Prayer request posted, video shared, deal shared, lost & found posted
- +2 Prayer offered for someone, review marked helpful
- +1 Daily login, poll vote
- +10 Profile completed, KB article written
- +30 Business claim verified
What loses points
- -25 Review removed by moderation
- -3 Flag rejected (you flagged something that didn't deserve it)
Daily cap
You can earn at most 200 points per day. This stops grinding while still letting you build reputation steadily through actual contribution.
Two scores
- Lifetime points — never decay. Used for all-time leaderboards and badge unlocks.
- Active score — decays slowly (half-life ~90 days). Used for the "active this month" and expert eligibility.
Badges & expert track
Hitting certain point thresholds unlocks badges automatically. Sustained activity in a specific topic (over weeks) flags you as an "expert" on that topic for new visitors.
