Vertical hubs: family, wellness, seniors, & more
6 community-vertical hubs aggregate the events, prayer requests, needs, forum threads, videos, and businesses tagged to each. Each hub also ships with 7 evergreen topic guides.
In addition to the Christian community hub, the site has six more vertical hubs β each one a single landing page that pulls everything tagged for that community across the whole site.
The six hubs
- /family β π¨βπ©βπ§βπ¦ Family hub. Kids' activities, parenting forum, family events, childcare needs.
- /wellness β πΏ Health & wellness. Fitness events, recovery support, wellness videos.
- /seniors β π Seniors. Transportation help, medical resources, memorial tributes.
- /newcomers β πΊοΈ Newcomers. Welcome events, local business directory, the forum to ask questions.
- /outdoors β ποΈ Outdoors. Hiking, fishing, hunting, paddling, weather alerts.
- /pets β πΎ Pets. Missing-pet alerts, adoptable pets, pet memorials, veterinary care.
What you'll find on each hub
Six cards that aggregate content across the site:
- π Upcoming events tagged for that community
- πͺ Local businesses with relevant tags
- π¬ Forum discussions on the topic
- β Community needs that match (e.g. transport on the seniors hub)
- π Tagged classifieds
- π¬ Videos shared with the matching tags
Topic guides
Each hub also has 7 in-depth evergreen articles at /{hub}/topics β for example, /family/topics covers kids' activities, finding childcare, family budgeting, screen time, homeschool basics, family events, and special-needs resources.
How content lands on a hub
When you post a forum thread, video, listing, classified, etc., tag it with the hub's default tags and it appears there automatically. The Family hub looks for family, kids, parenting, children. The Wellness hub looks for wellness, health, fitness, mental-health, recovery. Other hubs work the same way β see the tagging guide.
Sharing a hub
Hubs are designed to be the first link you send someone interested in a particular community: "Hey, you should check out /seniors β there's a lot going on." Each one is content-rich enough to be a useful landing page on its own.
